GVAHA Checking Camps – Summer 2018

Camp 1

June 12-14-19-21 (4 days)
5:00 – 6:00 PM off-ice full equipment
6:00 – 7:00 PM on ice full equipment

Camp 2

August 14-16-21-23 (4 days)
5:00 – 6:00 PM off-ice full equipment
6:00 – 7:00 PM on ice full equipment

Cost: $50.00 per camp/player

All players welcome. Intended for players second year Pee Wee and up.

Instructors:
GVAHA coaches will be on hand to teach proper techniques for giving and receiving checks. Players will have 2 hours each night, one-hour off-ice in full equipment and 1-hour on-ice in full equipment. Players will learn positioning and angling skills that will transfer over to body contact and body checking as well as developing a code of conduct of how and when to deliver body contact/checking.
