Board of Directors
President - Andrew Barnes
My wife and I have three boys who all have played in the GVAHA program. This will be our third season. As a family we love hockey, now two of them are at squirt and one at bantam level. I am an attorney in Southwest Michigan and I have served on multiple nonprofit boards in the area as both a president and treasurer. I look forward to contributing my time to our youth hockey program to help continue the good work that GVAHA does to build a love for hockey in the area.
Vice President - Jennifer Beverwyk
Hello! My name is Jennifer Beverwyk and I have three kids involved in GVAHA. My oldest son, Landon is 8 and is going to play on Mites for a second year this coming hockey season. Hayden is 5 and is going to play Cross-Ice and my daughter, Ainsley, is 3 and will return to Learn to Skate this season. My husband, Nate (or Coach Bev as some kids know him), and I are all in with all of our children. Nate played hockey growing up in Kalamazoo and continued to play as a member of the Grand Valley State University Division II team. We love the GVAHA family and the relationships we have formed through this amazing sport. Not only have we met some wonderful people, our children are learning valuable life lessons on and off the ice.
