Board of Directors
Vice President - Jennifer Beverwyk
Hello! My name is Jennifer Beverwyk and I have three kids involved in GVAHA. My oldest son, Landon is 8 and is going to play on Mites for a second year this coming hockey season. Hayden is 5 and is going to play Cross-Ice and my daughter, Ainsley, is 3 and will return to Learn to Skate this season. My husband, Nate (or Coach Bev as some kids know him), and I are all in with all of our children. Nate played hockey growing up in Kalamazoo and continued to play as a member of the Grand Valley State University Division II team. We love the GVAHA family and the relationships we have formed through this amazing sport. Not only have we met some wonderful people, our children are learning valuable life lessons on and off the ice.
I have been teaching for 14 years, most of those being in Grandville Public Schools. I have a Masters of Educational Leadership and look forward to using the skills I’ve acquired in all roles while serving the GVAHA family as Vice President.

The girls keep them busy with all their events and hobbies, but she also loves to travel, and spend time with family and friends. She works at Materials Testing Consultants, an engineering firm in Grand Rapids, as Document Control Manager.
WHAT DOES JAMI LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family of hockey players. Most of my winters were spent at outdoor ice rinks watching my brother and father play hockey. My love of the sport has continued to grow even more now that I am married to a hockey player, and we have been able to pass the love of the sport down to our daughter who now plays. There are many things that I love about hockey, but for me it is more than just the sport itself, the sense of family it creates, and amazing talent that it takes to play. What I love the most is the crisp cold air of the ice rink, the sound of the skates on the ice, the sound of the puck connecting with the stick, and all the memories and feelings these sounds bring.

Audra is an elementary Special Education Teacher for West Ottawa Public Schools. She and her husband, Dave live in Zeeland with their boys, Ben and Caleb.
WHAT DOES AUDRA LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“I love hockey because all my boys love hockey! My husband grew up on the ice as a player, ref, and now coach, and my boys are following in his steps. Hockey teaches them life lessons about working hard, being focused on a goal, and the importance of working with others. And as an added bonus, they sleep much better on hockey nights! ”
Fundraiser Director - Kelli Sterley
Kelli Sterley is the Fundraising Director for GVAHA. Kelli is responsible for coordinating all of the association fundraising activities including maintaining detailed records for each family using the SCRIP program.
